Ting Han

Ting Han is a Researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIST) in Tokyo, Japan. Their work focuses on enabling AIs to understand natural human communications, particularly the interplay between natural language and co-verbal gestures. Han holds a PhD in Bielefeld University (2018), advised by Prof. David Schlangen, and has been part of the Cognitive Interaction Technology Center of Excellence (CITEC) graduate school. They also earned a M.S. in computer vision and B.S. in computer science from Lanzhou University in China.

Research interests span multimodal interaction, robotics, and computational linguistics, aiming to bridge gaps between verbal and non-verbal communication.
