David Schlangen is a Professor for the Foundations of Computational Linguistics at the University of Potsdam. He is affiliated with the Speech and Language Technology research area at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). His research focuses on language use in collaborative settings, including empirical analysis of natural dialogues, formal modeling of dialogue processes, and development of language-using agents for dialogue systems and humanoid robots.
Research interests: Establishing mutual understanding in dialogue, dialogue systems, natural user interfaces, and interdisciplinary approaches combining linguistics and AI.
