Tina Wang

Tina Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research bridges protein folding, function, and synthetic biology, with a focus on addressing challenges in biotechnology and human disease.

Her lab investigates:

• Engineering molecular chaperones to improve protein expression and rescue disease-associated misfolded proteins
• Optimizing Rubisco, a critical enzyme in photosynthesis, constrained by folding limitations
• Developing robust sensors and gene circuits for synthetic biology and antibiotic screening
