Kanghyun Lee

Kanghyun Lee is a Research Fellow at UCSF's Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied Hsp70 chaperone systems in protein folding. His current research investigates Hsp90 interactions with cochaperones involved in Tau homeostasis using cryo-EM and biochemical approaches.

Research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying protein misfolding in neurodegenerative conditions, particularly the role of chaperone networks in maintaining proteostasis.
