Dr. Tina Veale serves as Department Chair and Professor in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Ball State University's College of Health, where she leads academic operations while teaching foundational courses in neuroscience, child language development and disorders, autism/social communication disorders, and research methodology.
Her research program focuses on autism spectrum disorders, specifically investigating novel techniques to improve literacy skills in autistic adolescents, exploring synergies between applied behavior analysis and communication therapies, and conducting qualitative analyses of long-term therapeutic outcomes from childhood interventions. This work addresses critical gaps in understanding sustained communication development trajectories.
