Tina Toglia

Tina Toglia is a Lecturer in Music (Piano) at the State University of New York at Oneonta, with affiliations at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and Utica College. She holds a D.M.A. from Stony Brook University, an Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute, and degrees from Temple University. Her career spans over 30 years of performances in Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, and Central New York, with a focus on new music premieres and collaborative projects.

Research interests include piano performance, interdisciplinary collaborations, and early music revival. Her recording Just-Spring: Art Songs of John Duke with Lauralyn Kolb was featured on New World Records' Recorded Anthology of American Music. She actively performs in her improv trio Little Sunflower and maintains a private piano studio in Utica, NY.

Teaching spans academic and private instruction, emphasizing jazz/popular music integration. She has performed with the Early Music Ensemble and Capital Chamber Players, studying under mentors Gilbert Kalish and Vladimir Sokoloff.
