Dr Tina Qi is a UQ Amplify Fellow at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Queensland. Her research focuses on imaging, sensing, and biomedical engineering, particularly leveraging terahertz quantum cascade lasers for advanced applications. She holds a Doctoral Diploma of Science (Advanced) from Lanzhou University.
Her work emphasizes terahertz imaging technologies, including in vivo skin pathology detection and 3D imaging using single-pixel laser transceivers. She explores optical feedback mechanisms in quantum cascade lasers to enhance imaging resolution and sensor sensitivity. Dr Qi collaborates extensively with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to advancements in biomedical diagnostics, materials analysis, and coherent light source development.
