Tina Oreski is an Assistant Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School, based in Turin. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute (USI Lugano) and has served as a visiting scholar at Boston College. Her academic role includes teaching and research in finance, with a focus on empirical corporate finance.
Research Interests: Oreski’s research examines how firms’ financing and investment decisions—particularly mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and initial public offerings (IPO)—are shaped by product market competition. Her work highlights strategic timing in market entry and the dual impact of innovation on IPO benefits and competitive risks.
Key Contributions: Her studies, presented at leading conferences like the American Finance Association and European Finance Association, explore synergies in M&A from entry timing and the trade-offs between IPO-driven capital access and competitive information leakage.
