Tina Mattsson is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University's School of Social Sciences, where she teaches in the social work program and directs an elective course on norm-breaking functional variation. She serves as a teacher representative on the Faculty of Social Sciences Board and is a designated safety officer. Recognized as an excellent teacher, her work focuses on integrating gender studies and feminist theories with social work practice.
Her research examines power structures in social work organizations, anti-discriminatory methodologies, and intersectionality. Key themes include violence in close relationships, institutional addiction treatment, gender equality in academia, and critical reflexive practices. She co-leads the research group Social Work, Power and Intersectionality and has led projects funded by FAS and the Swedish Crime Victims Agency.
Recent publications emphasize child protection, domestic abuse interventions, and family dynamics, consistently applying qualitative methods and intersectional frameworks.
