Tina Jones is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Greenwich. She leads the Pre-Registration course on Care of the Acutely Unwell Adult, employing patient-centered pedagogy covering anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, evidence-based interventions, and care evaluation. With over 15 years of clinical experience in critical care, coronary care, and cardio-thoracic surgery, she has developed extensive teaching programs in clinical settings.
Her significant contributions include launching the national Care Certificate and Code of Conduct for Nursing Assistants, plus educational films about healthcare roles. She collaborates with Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex to promote apprenticeships as pathways into nursing. As a Link Lecturer for Newham Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust), she supports practice mentors and has served as an OSCE external assessor and simulation instructor.
Education credentials include RN, DipHE, PGDip, and MEd. Prior positions include Clinical Skills Tutor (Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust, 2010-2015), Clinical Quality Facilitator (West Middlesex University Hospital, 2005-2010), and Senior Staff Nurse in intensive care units (2000-2005).
