Paula Hodge is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing & Midwifery at Teesside University’s School of Health & Social Care. She serves as Course Leader for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and its associated apprenticeship program. Her research focuses on OSCE efficacy in clinical skills assessment and advancing practice within healthcare education. Paula holds a Master of Arts in Education (2011) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2010).

She collaborates on regional initiatives to set research priorities for Advanced Clinical Practice.

Professional Background: Prior to academia, Paula worked in respiratory nursing and emergency admissions at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust (1999–2008). She is a registered nurse since 1991.
