Tina Fields, PhD, is a Professor Emerita of Ecopsychology at Naropa University, where she previously chaired the MA Ecopsychology program. She holds a PhD from the California Institute of Integral Studies and has taught since 1999, focusing on the intersection of psychology, ecology, and spirituality. Her work integrates cross-cultural spiritual practices, bioregional understanding, and storytelling to promote environmental behavior change. Dr. Fields serves on the Board of the International Ecopsychology Society and is certified in Forest Medicine and Spiritual Guidance Counseling. She is also a wilderness rites-of-passage guide, Naropa-trained mindfulness instructor, and accomplished artist. Her research emphasizes animistic perspectives, Druidry, and the role of mythology in ecological awareness.
Dr. Fields has published widely, including the co-edited book *So What? Now What? The Anthropology of Consciousness Responds to a World In Crisis* (2009). Her awards include listings in *Who’s Who* and certifications from the International Society for Nature and Forest Medicine. She has lectured globally for organizations like the European Ecopsychology Society and the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness.
Her teaching spans courses in ecopsychology, transpersonal psychology, and environmental studies, often blending contemplative practices with field-based learning. She has trained sustainability activists across institutions and advocates for reskilling and paradigm deconstruction as pathways to ecological healing.
