Tin Oreskovic is a Research Fellow at the Department of Public Health and Primary Care (PHPC) at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit (CEU). He joined the Inouye Lab at the CEU and the Mexico City Prospective Study team at Oxford Population Health in late 2024 as part of Health Data Research UK's Molecules to Health Records Driver Programme.
His research centers on applying causal inference and machine learning to epidemiological and health policy questions, with specific focus on 'omic traits (particularly proteomics), body composition-disease causal relationships, and drug target identification for conditions like obesity. His methodological expertise bridges computational biology and population health, emphasizing risk prediction and translational applications in public health policy.
He has received the Health Data Research UK Fellowship and doctoral scholarships from Oxford Population Health and Ad futura. His work on the Mexico City Prospective Study and pragmatic clinical trials demonstrates direct engagement with real-world health interventions.
As lead analyst for multiple research initiatives including a non-inferiority trial of smoking cessation therapies, he collaborates across institutions with Oxford Population Health and IBM Research. His current work integrates large-scale biobank data with health records through the Inouye Lab at the CEU and Mexico City Prospective Study team.
