Dr. Timothy J. Wood is a Full Professor in the Department of Innovation in Medical Education (DIME) at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine, with a cross-appointment in the Faculty of Education. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from McMaster University and a postdoc from the Program for Educational Research and Development (PERD). His career includes 12 years at the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) managing research and development projects. Dr. Wood specializes in improving assessment quality assurance, educational intervention impact tools, and clinical skills evaluation, particularly focusing on rater cognition and first impressions in assessment.
