Timothy Williamson is the Wykeham Professor of Logic at the University of Oxford (since 2000) and holds a concurrent Visiting Professor role at Yale University (2016–2018, 2018). He has held prestigious positions at the University of Edinburgh, University College Oxford, and Trinity College Dublin. His research spans epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and philosophical logic, with a focus on metaphilosophy and the nature of knowledge.

Williamson’s publications include foundational works like Knowledge and Its Limits (2000), Modal Logic as Metaphysics (2013), and Doing Philosophy (2018). His articles address topics such as logical neutrality, necessitism, and the epistemology of evidence. He has supervised over 48 doctoral theses globally.
