Timothy Weddle is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Washington University, specializing in Applied Music with a focus on Double Bass and Bass Guitar. He holds a BA from Southwest Missouri State University and pursued additional studies at Indiana University.

Research & Performance: Weddle’s expertise spans classical, jazz, rock, and funk music performance. He has held principal roles with the Arkansas Symphony, Memphis Symphony, and Orchestra Iowa, and is a regular substitute with the St. Louis Symphony. Since 2018, he has served as Principal Bassist for the Muny. His career blends classical training with electric bass work in rock and progressive genres.
Teaching Philosophy: Weddle emphasizes balance in musical development, advocating for diverse musical exploration to foster growth. He believes in structured practice complemented by creative experimentation.
