Timothy Summers

Timothy Summers is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Music at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is affiliated with the Gender Institute and the Centre for Audiovisual Research. His research focuses on intersections between music, technology, and media, particularly in video games, television, and interactive environments. Summers has contributed to multiple edited volumes and authored books exploring game sound design, cultural studies of media music, and audiovisual research.

He serves as Editor for journals such as the Journal of Sound and Music in Games and The Soundtrack, and has held editorial roles with Intellect Books since 2017. His recent projects include TPMS: All Ears: Music and Sound in and Beyond Disney Theme Parks (2024).
