Timothy Strom

Timothy Strom is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Culture & Society, affiliated with the Department of Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies at Western Sydney University. His work critically examines the ideological frameworks embedded in digital mapping technologies, particularly through his 2017 doctoral thesis Mapping Google Maps: Critiquing an Ideological Vision of the World. Strom's research intersects media studies, cultural studies, and critical theory to analyze the sociopolitical dimensions of digital platforms.
