Timothy Montminy is a Principal Lecturer and Medical Microbiology Option Coordinator in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, & Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), part of the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Tufts University and a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Rochester. His research focuses on bacterial genetics, pathogenesis, and host-microbe interactions, with notable contributions to Legionella pneumophila studies. Montminy teaches courses such as General Microbiology, Pathogenic Microbiology, Virology, and Host-Microbe Interactions. He has received prestigious awards, including the COLSA Outstanding Advisor Award (2018) and Excellence in Teaching Award (2017). His publications explore molecular mechanisms in bacterial systems, emphasizing Type IV secretion systems and cellular microbiology.
