معرفی
Timothy L. Reudelhuber is a Professor and Tenured Researcher at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal. He is affiliated with the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM). His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying hypertension, particularly the renin-angiotensin system and the regulation of renin activity. His work explores how angiotensin II and related peptides influence cardiovascular health and renal development.
Research Interests:
- Molecular basis of angiotensin II signaling
- Role of proprotein convertases in regulated secretion
- Prorenin processing and its implications in health/disease
Grant Activity: Lead researcher on multiple projects funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), including Identification of the Prorenin Processing Enzyme (2010–2014) and Prorenin in Health and Disease (2008–2011).
Advising: Supervised 10+ graduate students in topics such as prohormone convertase targeting, angiotensin II signaling modulation, and renal development. Notable advisees include Dimitrios Dikeakos (2008), Karim Benkirane (2006), and Danielle Méthot (1999).
Labs: Leads the Molecular Biochemistry of Hypertension laboratory at IRCM, investigating molecular regulators of blood pressure and enzyme activity in cardiovascular systems.
