Timothy Kreiner is a Lecturer in English and Course Director for English 115 at Yale University. His research integrates cultural, economic, and political history, focusing on intersections between literary forms and socio-political dynamics in 20th and 21st century America.

Research Interests: Kreiner's current book project The Long Downturn and its Discontents examines how anti-capitalist poetic movements like Language Writing and multicultural social activism intersected with post-1960s political shifts. His second project, The Work of Art and Unemployment, theorizes the impact of surplus populations on 20th-century literature.
Teaching: Directs ENGL 115 and teaches courses on capitalism's influence on literature and persistent societal inequalities.
