
Timothy J. Kehoe

Timothy J. Kehoe is a Distinguished McKnight University Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Minnesota. He has been a professor since 1987 and an advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis since 2000. Kehoe is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and has held numerous visiting professorships worldwide.

Kehoe's research focuses on general equilibrium modeling, macroeconomics, and international trade. He has analyzed economic crises in Latin America and advised governments on trade policy. His work examines fiscal and monetary policy interactions, trade liberalization, and economic growth models.
His recent publications explore monetary-fiscal frameworks for Latin America and economic modeling of debt crises. Kehoe has published over 130 academic works and supervised more than 110 Ph.D. theses in economics.
