Timothy Homan is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Grove City College, where he has served for 27 years and recently concluded a 14-year tenure as department chair.
His educational background includes undergraduate studies at a small North Carolina college, graduate work at the University of Colorado, and post-doctoral research at the University of Minnesota, followed by one year teaching at Anderson University in Indiana.
Dr. Homan's research focuses on Chemistry with emerging specialization in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is currently on sabbatical at the University of Wisconsin's Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to develop expertise for launching a new medicinal chemistry program at Grove City College.
Throughout his career, he has mentored countless students while emphasizing the department's strong academic foundation and supportive environment. His committee work notably includes leading the American Chemical Society accreditation process.
