Holly Guevara

Dr. Holly Guevara is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Grove City College. She recently joined the faculty after completing her doctorate at the University of New Hampshire, following her undergraduate studies at Eastern Nazarene University where she was one of only four chemistry majors in her class.

Her research interests include:

• Metabolism of benzene rings in the human body
• Development of rotaxanes for polymer-based drug delivery systems
• Organic reaction mechanisms in biological contexts

Dr. Guevara particularly values the close mentorship opportunities available at Grove City College's small size, where faculty can form meaningful relationships with students. She is currently setting up research projects that will begin over the summer and into the next year, continuing work she started in graduate school.

As a faculty member at this Christian institution, she appreciates the God-centered approach to education and the supportive community where 'students are hardworking, respectful, and take the time to get to know their professors.' She has quickly become an integral part of the department despite her recent arrival.
