Timothy Hedeen

Dr. Timothy Hedeen is a Professor of Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University's School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development. His work focuses on mediation, conflict engagement, ombuds services, and dispute resolution systems in courts and educational contexts. He serves on the editorial board of Conflict Resolution Quarterly and as a senior consultant to CADRE (National Center on Dispute Resolution in Special Education).

Research interests include constructive conflict engagement, decision-making, conflict coaching, communication, and justice policy. His publications address mediation readiness, ethical considerations in court-connected mediation, community mediation, and dispute system design, with a focus on special education, family law, and organizational conflict.
