Timothy Haithcoat

Timothy Haithcoat is Assistant Teaching Professor of Data Science and Analytics at the University of Missouri with expertise in geospatial technologies. He develops the Geospatial Analytical Research Knowledgebase (GeoARK) integrating demographic, environmental, and infrastructure data for interdisciplinary research.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Geoinformatics and M.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Missouri.

Research applies geographic information systems to health disparities, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure assessment. The GeoARK platform contains 162 million spatial data points enabling contextual analysis of health outcomes, socioeconomic factors, and environmental risks.

Publications demonstrate innovation in spatial epidemiology, geospatial AI, and remote sensing applications. Recent work focuses on opioid prescription risk modeling, automated poultry farm detection for biosecurity, and cancer distribution analysis.

Professional service includes membership on Missouri GIS Advisory Committee and Governor's Homeland Security Advisory Council GIS Subcommittee. Former Geographic Information Officer for Missouri Office of Administration.
