Tim Savage is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. His work focuses on digital education and education for sustainable development in higher education, with roles including Senior Advisor to the CHARM-EU European University initiative and member of the LERU Digital Education Policy Group and the Centre for Research in IT in Education (CRITE).
He previously served as Trinity College Dublin's first Associate Dean of Online Education, leading the design and delivery of world-class online education through accredited postgraduate courses and MOOCs on the FutureLearn platform. His research emphasizes meaningful technology application to enhance student learning experiences, recognizing the evolving nature of learners and societal needs.
Tim Savage supervises final year projects and internships in his school and is actively involved in teaching modules such as Computers and Society, Final Year Project Methods, and Research Methods. His current and past PhD students include Niall O'Sullivan, Ita Kavanagh, Toni Martin, Carina Girvan, Silvia Gallagher, Brid Lane, and Barbara McDonald.
