Martyn Egan

Martyn Egan is an Assistant Professor in Political Science at Trinity College Dublin. He holds a PhD from the European University Institute and previously worked as a Research Associate at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. His research employs Bourdieusian approaches and Geometric Data Analysis to examine social reproduction, inequality, and political economy, with specific focus on comparative reproduction regimes and Ireland's accumulation patterns.

He received the Trinity Excellence in Teaching School Award in June 2024. His publications explore corporate profit-shifting, housing crises, and algorithmic capitalism, utilizing both theoretical frameworks and empirical methodologies across disciplinary boundaries.
