Tim Englund is a Professor at Central Washington University (CWU), where he has been a member of the mathematics faculty since 1998. He currently serves in the Dean's office, having previously held the position of Mathematics Department Chair and as Faculty Coordinator for the Ronald E. McNair Program.
Dr. Englund's educational background includes:
- Ph.D. from Michigan State University
- B.S. from Grand Valley State University
His research spans interdisciplinary collaborations and pure mathematics. Current work focuses on elementary school lunch programs through partnerships with Nutrition & Health Sciences, addressing public health and child nutrition challenges. Earlier research centered on algebraic structures, specifically representation theory of Chevalley groups within advanced group theory.
