Tim Eisert is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business Economics, Erasmus School of Economics, part of Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has been affiliated with the university since 2014 and is a member of the ERIM (Erasmus Research Institute of Management). His research focuses on financial intermediation, corporate finance, and corporate governance, with an emphasis on financial interconnectedness, crises, and governance of financial/non-financial firms.
His recent publications analyze topics such as macroprudential policy transmission, zombie lending, and interbank network dynamics. His work has been recognized with the ERIM Top Article Award (2020) and cited in policy documents and news outlets. He advises PhD candidates, including Renee Maria Spigt, and contributes to research initiatives like the Erasmus Banking Hub.
