Tim Crane is a Professor of Philosophy at the Central European University (CEU) in Vienna and serves as Pro-Rector. He has held prominent positions, including Knightbridge Professor at the University of Cambridge (2009–2017), Founding Director of the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London (2005–2008), and Professor at University College London (UCL) (2002–2009). His work bridges philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and philosophy of psychology.

Crane’s research explores intentionality, non-conceptual content, and challenges to physicalism. He has also contributed to debates on academic publishing ethics, peer review, and AI ethics.
