Tim Alexander Herberger

Dr. habil. Tim Alexander Herberger serves as the Head of the Chair of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship, Finance and Digitalization) and Director of the Master in Management and Leadership program at Andrassy University of Budapest since 2018. He also maintains academic affiliations as a Research Fellow at Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg and as a visiting scholar at Friedrich-Alexander University.

His research spans the valuation of human capital and intangible assets (including cryptocurrencies and tokens), corporate governance and performance, empirical capital market research with focus on behavioral finance, and financial intermediation in the context of digitalization. His scholarly work connects traditional finance with emerging digital business models and sustainability considerations.

Dr. Herberger has published significant book-length works on digital transformation in finance and serves as Associate Editor for SN Business & Economics (Springer). He founded and organizes the annual conference 'Digital Transformation and Sustainability in Global Finance' which brings together academic and industry perspectives.

His teaching portfolio includes corporate finance and capital markets, entrepreneurship, corporate analysis and restructuring, and business models in the digital world. Beyond academia, he is an entrepreneur in the tourism sector and advises companies on business model implementation within digital transformation contexts.
