Tigran Palyan

Tigran Palyan is an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern Law School, teaching Family Law Procedure & Practice and Small Law Practice Management. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy (cum laude) from UC San Diego (2006) and a J.D. (cum laude) from Southwestern Law School (2009). A member of the California State Bar since 2009, he has extensive legal practice experience with top-tier firms like Trope & Trope LLP and Trope & DeCarolis LLP, where he became a partner.

Active in legal education and advocacy, Palyan served on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Family Law Section, chaired Trial Readiness Clinics for self-represented litigants, and co-chaired the Student Affairs Committee of the Armenian Bar Association. He currently acts as Legislative Liaison for the California State Bar Family Law Section’s executive committee.

His professional expertise spans representation of high-profile clients including celebrities, athletes, and executives in family law matters. He emphasizes practical legal training for students and emerging professionals through speaking engagements and organizational leadership roles.
