Tiffany González

Tiffany González is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Kansas, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She serves as Director of the Mentored Scholars Program and actively mentors MA and PhD students.

• Education: Ph.D. in History (Texas A&M University, 2020), M.A. (Texas Tech University, 2014), B.A. (Texas Tech University, 2009)

Her research explores intersections of U.S. politics, Chicana-Latina/o history, social movements, and gender studies. She employs oral history and public history methodologies to examine political activism and legislative impact in the 20th century.

Recent publications focus on Chicana community organizing, political representation, and feminist legacies. Her work bridges academic scholarship with public engagement through podcasts and digital platforms.

Dr. González teaches courses on Mexican American history, borderlands, public history, and gender dynamics in U.S. politics, emphasizing hands-on learning through oral history projects and social justice themes.
