Tiffany Deroy

Tiffany Deroy serves as an Assistant Professor and Director of the MAcc Program in the Department of Accounting at the Mitchell College of Business, University of South Alabama. With over 25 years of combined industry experience in public accounting (20+ years) and private accounting for manufacturing/publicly traded companies (5 years), plus eight years of U.S. Navy service specializing in budgeting and inventory management, she integrates real-world expertise into her teaching of business taxation, data analytics, and accounting information systems.

Research Interests: Dr. Deroy's scholarship centers on accounting technology adoption, practical tax strategy development, and intervention frameworks for accounting profession enhancement. Her work bridges industry challenges with academic inquiry, particularly examining data analytics applications in tax research and accounting information systems optimization. Current investigations focus on QuickBooks integration methodologies and evidence-based approaches to strengthen accounting education pipelines.
