Tiffany Bailey is an Instructor in the Contemplative Studies Initiative at Oregon State University’s School of Psychological Science. She is a full-time faculty member who teaches yoga and mindfulness practices through Marigold: The OSU Center for Contemplative Studies. Her work integrates decades of spiritual exploration with academic instruction, offering both yoga classes and formal teacher training programs.
Education & Spiritual Background:
- Swarthmore College – Early exposure to contemplative practices
- E-RYT 500 Certified Yoga Instructor
- Trained in multiple yoga systems: Iyengar, Vinyasa, Anusara, Viniyoga, Shadow Yoga, Ashtanga

Tiffany’s scholarly and instructional focus lies in contemplative studies, particularly how yoga and mindfulness can be integrated into academic and therapeutic contexts. Her classes emphasize mind-body unity, accessibility, and spiritual depth. She teaches both introductory and advanced practitioners, aiming to foster wholeness through embodied awareness.
Her pedagogical approach blends traditional yogic disciplines with modern somatic science, offering students a holistic framework for personal and professional development. She is particularly interested in the therapeutic applications of yoga nidra and tantric meditation techniques.

Tiffany co-coordinates the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Leadership Certificate at OSU. She also teaches within the Physical Activity Course (PAC) Mind-Body Program and contributes to Faculty Staff Fitness and the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences.
