معرفی
Tianyi Xiao is a Lecturer at ETH Zürich's Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics. Their research focuses on geospatial analysis, augmented reality applications, and spatial modeling with particular emphasis on terrain sketch mapping, public health interventions, and urban mobility patterns. Current projects include AI-driven real-time terrain modeling in AR environments and collective navigation systems for wilderness search and rescue. Xiao's work bridges computational methods with geospatial challenges, addressing both technical and societal aspects of spatial data representation.
Professional background includes advanced geoinformatics research with a focus on integrating spatial cognition principles into interactive mapping tools. The 2025 publications highlight innovations in collaborative 3D sketch mapping and spatial decision-making systems. Earlier work (2021-2022) explored physical distancing models during pandemics and adolescent health interventions through agent-based simulations.
