Dr. Thürmer Lukas is a Professor of Business Psychology at the Private University Schloss Seeburg and a Permanent Researcher in Political and Intercultural Psychology at the University of Salzburg's Department of Psychology. His academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Konstanz and New York University, along with postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Göttingen and the University of Pittsburgh. He has held interim professorships at Ludwig-Maximilian University Munich and the University of Konstanz.
His research explores how teams achieve goals in intercultural and political contexts, focusing on collective planning, criticism responses, and handling underperforming members. Notable contributions include models on pro-group intent and vaccination communication dynamics. He has been recognized with the FWF START Prize (2023) and Wiley's Top Cited Article award (2023).
