معرفی
Thorsten Vehoff is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, where he began his PhD in the Theory group in November 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Denis Andrienko. His work focuses on material properties of hexabenzocoronenes, charge transport in organic semiconductors, and molecular simulations. He holds a Physics diploma from the University of Göttingen (2006), where his thesis on spider silk mechanics at the Institute for X-ray Physics explored mechanical properties of biological materials.
His research interests include understanding charge carrier dynamics in disordered organic semiconductors, phase transitions in columnar mesophases, and the interplay between molecular structure and electronic properties. He is part of a collaborative research group studying computational methods for predicting charge transport, with applications in organic electronics.
Key contributions include developing software tools for simulating charge transport and analyzing director fluctuations in hexagonal phases. His work bridges molecular-level simulations with continuum theory, advancing both fundamental and applied aspects of materials science.
