Thorsten V. Koeppl is a Professor of Economics at Queen's University and holds the Robert McIntosh Fellow and RBC Fellow titles. He serves as the M.A. Placement Officer. His research focuses on Macroeconomic Theory, Financial Market Infrastructure, Blockchain Economics, and Insurance & Aggregate Risk. He teaches advanced courses like ECON 815 (Macroeconomic Theory) and has advised numerous doctoral students including current advisee Sihui Ong.
Education: Vordiplom (University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt), Lic.rer.pol. (University of Basel), Ph.D. (University of Minnesota). Professional roles include CD Howe Institute Scholar and member of its National Council, alongside teaching at the European University Institute's Florence School of Banking and Finance.
