Prof. Dr. Thorsten Schank is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. His work focuses on applied microeconometrics and labour economics, with particular emphasis on wage inequality, minimum wage policies, labour demand responses to external shocks, and gender representation in corporate governance. He holds a chair in the Faculty of Law and Economics and is affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Center for Labour Market and Labour World (LASER) and the IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
