Thorsten Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Bocconi University (since 2018) and holds an Associate Professor position at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He earned a Ph.D. in Finance from HEC Paris. His research focuses on the interplay between finance and the real economy, including corporate finance, climate finance, labor markets, and product market interactions. His work has been recognized with the Best Paper Award at the 15th Paris December Finance Meeting (2017).
His research explores topics such as the real effects of financial markets, tariff impacts on supply chains, labor market responses to financial policies, and climate-related fiscal strategies. His findings have been presented at major conferences like the American Finance Association Annual Meetings and European Finance Association Annual Meetings.
