Robert Van Ness is a Professor in the Department of Finance at the School of Business Administration, University of Mississippi, where he has served since 2002. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (1989), an MBA (1992), and a Ph.D. in Business (1996) from the University of Memphis. Van Ness specializes in financial markets and market microstructure research, with publications in top-tier journals such as The Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics.
