Thomas W. Douglas is a Professor of Music and holds dual roles as Director of Choral Activities and Director of Opera Studies at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music. He is also the Music Director of the Newton Symphony in Kansas and Artistic Director of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. His career spans over 200 productions in orchestral, musical theater, opera, and oratorio, with notable works including Phantom of the Opera in Basel, Porgy and Bess, and the U.S. premiere of The Agnostic.
He has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the Pittsburgh Symphony, Dallas Symphony, and Seattle Symphony, and has conducted renowned artists like Leslie Odom Jr. and Kelli O’Hara.
