Prof. Dr. Thomas Trenczek is a Professor of Law at the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena (Germany), specializing in Public Law, Juvenile Law, and Criminal Law. He also teaches Mediation and Conflict Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Law (Dr.iur.) and a Master of Arts in Social Sciences (M.A.).

- Co-founder and former president of WAAGE Dispute Resolution Centre (a leading German restorative justice NGO)
- International Visiting Scholar at Universities of Queensland (Australia), Griffith (Australia), and Massey (New Zealand)
