معرفی
Professor Thomas Stöhlker is a faculty member at the Helmholtz Institute Jena, formally affiliated with Friedrich Schiller University Jena through its partnership structure. His research utilizes major facilities including the POLARIS Laser, JETI series lasers, and external storage rings (ESR, HITRAP, CRYRING@ESR) for cutting-edge experiments in atomic and quantum physics.
His primary research focuses on:
- Atomic structure and dynamics of highly charged few-electron systems
- Precision and polarization spectroscopy of hard X-rays
- Relativistic quantum dynamics of ions and beams
- Particle and photon detector development
- Quantum logic spectroscopy of highly-charged heavy ions
Stöhlker actively supervises thesis projects through Friedrich Schiller University Jena's physics programs and contributes to the Research School of Advanced Photon Science. He leads multiple working groups including Relativistic Laser Plasma Theory, High Intensity Laser Physics, and X-Ray Science, with experimental work spanning EUV to mid-IR photon sources and quantum field theory at extreme intensities.
