He serves as Head of Research at Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Research - Copenhagen (PMR-C), a multidisciplinary research program focused on improving rehabilitation healthcare through innovative research. Additionally, he leads the Graduate PhD Program MUSKOS at the University of Copenhagen.
His research examines how physical activity and exercise enhance clinical recovery in various patient populations, with secondary focus on improving clinical research quality and transparency. He investigates mechanisms of recovery, develops outcome measures, and explores rehabilitation strategies in orthopedics and geriatrics.
His publications consistently demonstrate focus on evidence-based rehabilitation approaches, particularly in post-arthroplasty recovery and mobility interventions. Research integrates clinical trials with mechanistic studies to optimize rehabilitation protocols.
