Thomas Pradeu holds dual appointments as a tenured senior investigator at CNRS/University of Bordeaux and Presidential Fellow at Chapman University. He founded and leads the Conceptual Biology and Medicine research team in Bordeaux and coordinates the international Philosophy in Biology and Medicine (PhilInBioMed) network. Previously, he served as associate professor at Paris-Sorbonne University (2008-2014) and was embedded philosopher at Bordeaux's ImmunoConcept lab.

Pradeu's interdisciplinary research bridges philosophy and biomedical science, focusing on:

- Lakatos Award for contributions to philosophy of science
