Dr Thomas Mulder is a Post-Doc Fellow at the Kaldor Centre's Evacuations Research Hub, part of the School of Global & Public Law at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a PhD from UNSW, an LLM in International Law from the University of Edinburgh, and an LLB from the University of Groningen. His research focuses on public international law, particularly international disaster law, humanitarian law, and human rights law in emergencies. He explores state and non-state actor responsibilities during evacuations. Mulder also teaches Contracts, Law in the Global Context, and Global Common Law Systems at UNSW's Faculty of Law & Justice.

He contributes to the Evacuations Research Hub, examining legal frameworks for evacuation operations under international law.
