Thomas Mays

Thomas Mays serves as a current manager of law enforcement and intelligence professionals at George Mason University's Department of Criminology, Law and Society. With over 30 years of experience spanning federal government roles at DHS agencies (CBP, HSI-ICE, USCIS) and a 27-year U.S. Army Reserve career, he specializes in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and intelligence cycle optimization. His expertise includes HUMINT, SIGINT, CyberINT, and GEOINT operations across government-military interfaces.

Holding a MS in Strategic Intelligence from National Intelligence University and degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Applied Physics from Embry-Riddle, he advises graduate theses and sits on NIU's curriculum review board. His career combines federal leadership roles with field deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, emphasizing intelligence fusion and tactical operations.
